Butterfly Circles’s journal of the desert Experience
Day 1
Leaving Brussels in the early morning of 4th november 2007 to Cairo where Mohammed was waiting to drive the group straight away into our desert experience.
Crossing the Suez tunnel, enjoying the alternation of the landsape waiting for ” the desert experience”.
I was waiting for them at ” kilo tessa wa settin” with Djamel in the car of Aboe Head.
Iris, Frank, Marie-Christine, Katrien, Annemie en Charline arrived full of enthousiasm. In only a few minutes they where out of the bus to take place into the jeep readdy to drive into the first wadi of the Sinai desert.
After 30 minutes we arrived in a very good mood where Georges and the other bedouins had prepared our diner and sleeping place.
From now on we will be a team – discovering and sharing a lot of impressions.
Day 2
The first morning we where waked up by the noice of two young bedouin girls their 2 dunkeys and a heap of goats. Opening the eyes in the morning, getting a view on this amazing environment, feeling familiair immediately with this nature and with the locals.
Marie-Christine was refreshing herself while Charline was giving it a try to get on the dunkey
After breakfast we started the first walk trough the beautifull green Wadi Baba.
After a while we meet a bedouin girl, sitting in the shadow of a majestueus palmtree, she prepared us the traditional “chai” , time to enjoy a conversation and a small rest.
Surprise after surprise, who would expect in this arid environment a miror vision… Frank?
Or maybe Annemie!!!!
By midday the lunch was served in the shadow of the palmtrees, playing with the bedouin children before the siesta
please go play somewhere else…
